3 Truths In Between Endings and Beginnings
You're waiting for the next thing to arrive, the next version of yourself to emerge, the next chapter to begin - but what if you could find peace right here, in this uncomfortable in-between space where nothing is resolved and everything is uncertain? Peace in the void doesn't mean you're suddenly okay with the discomfort or that the fear disappears. It means you learn to soften into what's here instead of fighting it, to let the transformation unfold at its own pace instead of forcing it to hurry up and be done already.
Here are 3 Soul Sparks for understanding what it feels like to be in the void, how to let your next version emerge without pushing, and how to soften into change instead of fighting against it.
SOUL SPARK #1
What does it feel like to be in the void between endings and beginnings?
It feels like floating in dark water with no land in sight, like standing in thick fog where you can't see more than a few feet ahead, like being suspended in a space where time moves differently and nothing makes sense the way it used to. The void is disorienting, lonely, terrifying - because everything you knew has ended but what comes next hasn't revealed itself yet, and your nervous system hates this liminal territory where there's nothing to hold onto. You're grieving what's gone while also trying to trust what's coming, existing in both states at once, feeling the pull of the past and the terror of the future while trying to stay present to this strange in-between moment. The void feels like death and birth happening simultaneously, like dissolution and emergence, like nothing and everything all at once. It's uncomfortable because you're being remade, and the remaking happens in the dark where you can't see what you're becoming.
SOUL SPARK #2
How do I let the next version of me emerge without pushing or rushing?
You let it emerge by stopping the effort to become, stopping the striving to arrive, stopping the constant monitoring of whether you're transforming fast enough or correctly enough. The next version of you isn't something you create through force or willpower - it's already here, already emerging, already unfolding through you whether you're controlling it or not. Letting it emerge means getting out of the way, softening the grip on who you think you should be, creating space for what wants to come through instead of demanding it show up on your timeline. Maybe that looks like resting when you'd normally push, or letting yourself not know when you'd normally force clarity, or trusting that the becoming is happening in the invisible places even when you can't measure or track it. The emergence happens when you stop trying to force it and start trusting that your soul knows exactly what it's doing, exactly what you need, exactly who you're becoming - and your job is just to stay present and let it unfold.
SOUL SPARK #3
How do I soften into change instead of fighting against it?
You soften by releasing the resistance, the bracing, the constant clenching against what's happening. Fighting change is exhausting - it's pushing against a river, arguing with reality, demanding that things be different than they are. Softening means you stop fighting and start allowing, stop resisting and start breathing, stop trying to control the outcome and start trusting the process even when it's uncomfortable. Softening might look like letting yourself cry when the tears come instead of holding them back, or saying yes to rest instead of powering through, or admitting you're scared instead of pretending you're fine. The softening doesn't make the change easier or less painful - but it lets the change move through you instead of getting stuck, lets the transformation happen instead of staying frozen in resistance. You soften by choosing, moment by moment, to be with what's here instead of fighting to be somewhere else. The peace doesn't come from the change being over - it comes from learning to breathe through it, to let it reshape you, to trust that you can hold yourself through the uncertainty without needing to control every step.
This is the essence of THE ABYSS - learning to find peace in the void, to let yourself emerge without forcing, to soften into the change instead of exhausting yourself fighting it. It's here for when you're ready to stop resisting and start trusting that the in-between is exactly where you need to be.
